I'm glad you're around to read this.
Because, that is usually not the case. Unfortunately, with motorcycle accidents in the Northern KY area, I usually get to meet the riders family - after he or she was fatally injured.
And if you are a member of grieving family that has lost a member of your family in a motorcycle accident, you have my deepest sympathies.
If you have survived a motorcycle accident, and plan on riding again, I like to pass along a few tips and recommendations. If you have had a family member killed in an motorcycle accident, I'll address your concerns in just a moment.
For those of you that plan on riding again, take a look at your insurance coverage. Do you have Personal Injury Protection or PIP listed on your policy. I would guess that many of you do not. Because when you set-up the policy for your bike, the agent probably told you that an effective way to lower the cost of your policy was to decline this coverage.
If it's not on your policy, add it now. In Kentucky, PIP grants the policy holder a minimum of $10,000 in medical coverage....coverage you're more likely to need than say the driver of 4 door sedan.
